There are two different types of shooting available here. The sporting shoots are closely supervised with instruction provided and sessions lasting for 21/2 to 3 hours. The clays used are varied during each session, simulating a variety of wild targets including pheasant, woodcock, partridge, even bolting rabbit!

For those who want an experience that is very close to that of shooting live birds, driven shoots of a half-day or full day’s duration are available. These are conducted in the same manner as a normal driven shoot and are popular with those who want to practice their shooting out of season or who just want a different shooting experience. Driven shoots are not suitable for beginners.

This is a friendly and well-run place and with other country pursuits such as archery, falconry and ferret racing also available a visit here makes a really terrific day out for a group of people travelling together. They prefer to book groups of 6 or more and you will need to make your booking well in advance.
