The Irish Open Golf Championship 2027

The 2027 Irish Open Golf Championship will be held at The Kildare Hotel and Golf Club (The K Club) in Straffan Co Kildare.

Ireland is a golf mad country, and the tournament consistently attracts one of the largest galleries on the European Tour. In 2027 it may well break all record with local hero Shane Lowry attempting to hold his title for a second year running, and Rory McIlroy already committed to being there. Proximity to Dublin Airport, and to accomodation in Dublin, means it’ll likely be a popular event with overseas fans too.

There are two courses at the K Club, both championship standard parkland courses designed by Arnold Palmer. The Open will be held on the Palmer North course, widely considered one of the best parkland courses in Europe.

The same course hosted the Ryder Cup in 2006, an occasion attended by enormous numbers who were extremely well catered for in a village erected for the purpose. No doubt this will be in action again for the 2027 Irish open, making it again a very pleasant event for golf fans.
